Wake up, Eat, Sleep
Today, i woke up at 10 am. It felt weird to not go to Cultura, it was part of my routine now.
We cleaned the house my bro and I while my mom started to paint the ugly blue wall in the living room.
I then spent many hours writing last chapter because yesterday i was a lazy ahh.
Nah im joking im not a lazy ahh for not staying awake till 4 am to finish my chapter.
I then watched a movie named ‘’The Red Turtle’’, titled in french obviously but it was a speechless movie so yall could watch it ez pz.
Its the kind of movie that makes you either cry, or have an existential crisis.
It was a crazy good movie, and if you want to watch it, watch it with headphones, because the movie is purely made out of sound effects.
The title in french is ‘’La tortue rouge’’ by Michael Dubok De Wit, in collab with Ghibli studios.
No idea if yall will find it online, but if you can, watch it.
Its the story of a man that is stranded on an island, and he tries his best to survive, then he meets a creature that is gonna change his whole life…
That is what is written on the back of the dvd case, not spoiling yall.
We then decided we would watch a movie after eating.
Oh boy i had the laugh of my life.
So the thing is that i wouldn’t have a good idea of how to describe the movie i’ve just watched…. A mix of Forest Gump and…. Hotel budapest ? (if thats the name of the movie im thinking about).
Its a mix of dark humour and life story, and the combo is incredible.
Its the story of an old man that turns 100 years old, and he decides to escape the retirement house he lives in. And throughout his escape, he tells us his story, and the forest gump part comes in cause he encounters many celebrities, and he is the cause of many event. And his escape, to say the least, becomes one hell of an escape when he accidentally steals a briefcase.
The movie for those interested (you’ll have to be able to speak french tho) is named ‘’Le vieux qui ne voulait pas fêter son anniversaire’’ or ‘’The old man that didn’t want to celebrate his birthday’’.
I’m not sure if the movie got dubbed in english, but what i know is it was made in Iceland or Finland, i don’t remember the exact country, but it was something in the northern part of Europe, so there was the french dubbed and the og audio that isn’t english. (It was a swedish movie).
