What is the purpose of allowing users to create their own streams if the site mods are going to enforce their rules on them?

A bit of an explanation of what I'm talking about.

If I create a stream and that stream is moderated by me and a few users I trust, should we not be responsible for the content of that stream and what content is and is not allowed to be posted on it? I personally don't think the site mods have any reason to patrol the streams and delete content they disagree with or what they believe breaks the rules of the site. I've had memes deleted that were over 1 and 2 years old. All you're doing is pissing people off and deleting the memes that are that old doesn't change anything.

If we're allowed to create our own streams, we as the creators should be allowed to monitor our own content and the content posted in that stream without worrying about site mods poking their noses into them. If a user thinks the stream breaks an actual Imgflip rule (p0rn, child and animal abuse, etc.) they have the right to go to a site mod and have them check. Otherwise, I think the site mods should just leave user created streams alone and allow the stream creators and mods to deal with the content.
