The Fitnessgram PACER test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The test is used to measure aerobic capacity, which is an important part of your overall fitness. You will run back and forth across a 20-meter (or 15-meter for younger students) space at a pace that gets faster each minute. The test will begin on the start signal and will continue until you can no longer keep up with the pace or choose to stop.
You will start at the starting line. When you hear the beep, you will run to the opposite line and touch it with your foot before the next beep. You must reach the line before the next beep sounds. If you do not reach the line in time, you will be given a warning. After two warnings, the test will end for you.
