That is a good speculation, but what if, it all has a deeper meaning perhaps? What if, the chicken, has been living in a farm, where it lived there whole life, believing it is gonna have good life. But then the chicken discovered the reality that they are being used to get harvested for eggs and their flesh. And after discovering such a scary and beyond comprehension spooky scary things it realised it had to escape. And the first thing to do to leave the farm, was to cross the road.
