Day 17 — Lake Cleanup: Remove the Invasive Species

Mewo hovers above the wide, misty lake in the island center wearing a thin raincoat like he’s casually going for a walk in a storm. The water churns darkly. Floating docks and nets are set up; teams are assigned opposite shores. Dontavious Donquavious III presides in regal confusion from a gilded pontoon, narrating the day at top volume: “This is much like when I once negotiated trade between cracker and scone—”

Mewo (calm, level): “You’ll have 12 hours. Remove as many of the invasive, territorial creatures as you can. They fight. They bite. They will not be polite. Last team to remove more loses. No killing them — just capture and contain. Go.”

The Threat: Invasive Species

The invaders are aggressive—large, territorial waterfowl the size of dogs, armored snapping-turtle hybrids, and a particularly vicious shoal of fish that coordinate attacks. They bite nets, ram boats, and leap at ankles. They fight hard and will target whoever looks weakest.

Teams & Mood

BIG SHOTS (shocked, shaken, grief not yet arrived):
Steve, Binah, Luigi, Retro, Parcelboy, Springtrap, Spamton, Junkil D Junkil, (Thomas Jefferson Miku Binder is present at start)

RITUAL RULERS (tense but coordinated):
CassiLyn, Sphinx, Wembry, Noxor, Caring Individual, Gayery, MSMG Waifu, I Hate Fun Soyjak, Blobert

Notes:

Junkil — now fully portrayed as you described: manic, unstable, desperate for “freedom,” often speaking in corrupted repetitions and bursts of near-Morse clicks. He’s on BIG SHOTS and oscillates between helpful energy and dangerous unpredictability.

Blobie—previously removed—forces himself back onto the island at the worst possible moment. He’s now ~70% Awakened, half-his humanity flickering. His presence is violent and hungry for revenge. He has been off-island, but he returns and crashes into the lake area. He’s visibly altered: one eye darker, movements jerky, a terrible low hum in his throat.

Springtrap watches with predatory interest. Noxor prepares defensive hacks for his team.

Early Work: Both Teams Engage the Lake

Steve jumps into a small skiff with nets: “Stick to the plan — trap lines, channel into corral.”
Binah sets firm anchor points: “Reinforce the containment cages. Don’t let them slam the nets.”
Luigi coordinates a two-person net brigade, moving now, steady and alive — the statue-phase is over. He looks determined. “Step slow. Don’t spook them.”

CassiLyn draws a rune pattern on the water’s edge to calm frenzied groups; Wembry assists with gentle hand motions. Noxor sets drone-buoys broadcasting a low hum that confuses the fish but also risks spooking them into attacking.

Junkil dances on the dock, voice glitching and wild:
“Free—free—fr̵e̷e̸d̶o̶m… catch! catch! catch! do it! do it! DO— — —”
He leaps into the water with reckless, spasmodic energy, flinging nets in unpredictable arcs. Sometimes he pulls out thrashing, huge creatures by sheer luck; other times he nearly wrecks a corral.

The teams make headway. Nets fill. Drag-lines strain. The invasive creatures bite back, claws and beaks snapping at calves and nets. Noxor’s drones fry one aggressive shoal with noise interference, letting Ritual Rulers corral them.

Midday Panic — Blobie Returns

From the tree line: a thunderous, unnatural noise. Everyone turns.

Blobie bursts through the brush — once-contained energy now a rampaging hull of awakened force. He staggers across the shoreline, half-awakened energy crackling like static. The team members freeze.

Blobie/Awakener (voice deep, layered): “YOU—TOOK—MY—COG… YOU POINTED… YOU LIE… DEAL—DEAL—”
His speech is not Junkil’s glitch — it’s older, deeper, monstrous.

He sprints straight for the BIG SHOTS side. The moment is oddly still.

Thomas Jefferson Miku Binder — who previously led suspicion against Blobie and had pushed for his elimination — is standing on the dock, frantic, gesturing at volunteers. He sees Blobie charge.

Thomas (yelling): “Back off! Get back— he’s dangerous—!”
He turns to flee and Blobie explodes forward like a living battering ram.

The tackle. Blobie smashes into Thomas with crushing force, knocking him from the dock into the spray. The impact is terrible; Thomas does not rise.

People scream — a jagged, human-long shout.

Junkil stops mid-dance, eyes blazing with an erratic light. He lurches forward screaming corrupted refrains:
“Free—free—FREE—no chains—NO—NO—no—”

Steve dives in immediately; Binah slashes at Blobie’s legs; Springtrap tries a restraining hook. But Blobie’s Awakened half is vicious and compelled to kill.

Blobie slams Thomas’s body into the dock again; the world narrows to panic. Thomas’s face is still in the water. Steve tears at his clothing and rips him free while others hold Blobie back with ropes, spears, and makeshift poles. They manage to haul Thomas onto the shore, but he is limp, bloodless, and not breathing.

Steve (shouting, voice breaking): “Someone — call medical! Someone — someone — he’s gone — he’s not—”
Mewo is unusually still, watching, eyes narrowing.

Paramedics do not exist on this island in the usual way — but Mewo gestures and a glowing boat and stretcher materialize. They handle Thomas’s body with a heavy silence. There’s no recovery; later the medics confirm Thomas Jefferson Miku Binder is dead. He dies on the beach, taken from them by a man they tried to exile.

Immediate Fallout — chaos, grief, and fury

Junkil collapses onto the sand, laughing and crying at once: “FREE—FREE—FREE—no more chains—he pushed—he pushed—he pointed—FREEDOM—” His laugh is cut with wild sobs and flashes of rage. He thrashes; Steve has to pull him off Thomas.

Steve is pale, hands shaking, mouth raw with words he cannot say. “He didn’t—he didn’t deserve—”

Binah is a cold, contained storm — her voice low: “Contain Blobie. We cannot let this spiral.”

Springtrap presses his face close to the shadows and smiles softly: “Finally. Truth manifests.” (He means it like a predator admiring a kill.)

Junkil screams again, stumbling back into the water as if to challenge the entire island: “I WILL BE FREE! FREE—FREE— FREEEEEE——” He slams a net pole against the sand, rhythmically, maddened.

Ritual Rulers react with shock and, simultaneously, tactical discipline: Noxor immediately reroutes their drones to give distance and protect his team. CassiLyn cries out loud once, then steels herself: “We secure the lake now. We remove the threat.” Wembry is shaking, eyes huge.

The Fight Continues — both teams decide to finish the challenge

After the killing, there is no unanimous call to stop — some want to pack up and leave; others know the challenge will determine food, shelter, and who controls the island. In the end, both teams — bone-weary and enraged — push on, fighting the invasive creatures and watching for Blobie.

Ritual Rulers use Noxor’s drone-hum and Cassie’s careful runes to herd giant snapping birds into traps. Blobert bravely wades into shallow water to pull a net, suffering bites but grinning like the engineer-blob he became.

BIG SHOTS are fractured but furious. Junkil wreaks havoc in the water, wildly snaring creatures and smashing cages in a manic attempt to “prove freedom.” Sometimes his chaos works—he accidentally corrals a clutch of territorial fish. Luigi moves with focused steadiness, bringing order where Junkil gives chaos.

End of the 12 Hours — Counting the Catch

When the final horn sounds, both sides pull in their nets and count.

Ritual Rulers: methodical trapping, Noxor drone support, Wembry and Blobert brave hands — they contain 57 invasive creatures.

BIG SHOTS: jittery, reactive, some brilliant solo captures by Junkil and Luigi’s steady technique — they contain 42.

Winner: Ritual Rulers — by coordinated effort and far fewer distractions.

Aftermath — grief, fury, and consequences

The camp is a blur of wailing, curses, and the smell of lakewater. The island groans under the weight of what happened.

Thomas Jefferson Miku Binder’s body is taken away in a quiet, solemn procession; Dontavious gives an awkward speech about legacy and “the metaphysics of being loud or quiet,” which everyone ignores.

Mewo floats down, expression unreadable. Finally, he speaks, voice low:
“Blobie returned with the Awakener. He will be contained — but not today. You made that choice, island. Life has consequences.”

Binah: “We must restrain Blobie permanently. He is a contagion.”

Junkil, manic, sits in the surf and whispers the broken refrain: “Freedom— freedom— free— .-.- .-.- —” He looks at Thomas’s place on the beach with a complicated expression — grief, hate, and relief all tangled together.

Springtrap licks his lips, almost hungry. “Excellent.”

Luigi stands over Thomas’s spot, whispering an apology: “I am sorry… I did not protect you.” He folds into himself, shaken.

Blobie disappears into the jungle during the night, leaving torn nets and the stench of awakened energy behind. The team has only a few ropes and scorched marks where they fought him. They failed to kill him — and he will return changed.

Closing — the next steps

Ritual Rulers win Day 17. They gain a small morale boost but also a heaviness that will not lift; a teammate was slain and Blobie remains at large.

BIG SHOTS are crushed by grief and guilt; their internal tensions spike. Junkil’s instability is now an urgent problem — sometimes helpful, now dangerously unmoored after Thomas’s death.

Mewo floats away, bloodless-smile intact, murmuring: “Keep watching each other. The island rewards caution… and chaos.”
