World War III (2028–2032) was a global conflict triggered by tensions in Eastern Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The war pitted the Western bloc—led by the US, NATO, Japan, and Australia—against the Eastern bloc of Russia, China, North Korea, and some allies, while much of the world tried to stay neutral.
Fighting involved traditional battles, cyber warfare, and limited tactical nuclear strikes. Europe, Asia, and the Middle East were the main theaters, and proxy wars erupted in Africa and other regions. Tens of millions were displaced, global economies collapsed temporarily, and cities were heavily damaged.
In the end, no side achieved total victory. The war reshaped alliances, strengthened emerging powers, and left humanity aware of the catastrophic consequences of modern global conflict.
