Oliver: hi its nice to meet you im your new neighbor i just moved in the house across the street

Oliver: *eyes widen in shock* a-are you okay your neck is dripping with blood

Kai passes out

Oliver:*gasps and quickly catches you making sure your okay*

You hear a voice
???: kai, who's at the door?

Oliver: *speaks up* um well I'm the new neighbor Kai just passed out

???: dammit kai.

Oliver: do you want me to bring him inside?

???: yes please

Oliver: okay *carefully picks up Kai and I carry him inside the house*

???: you must forgive my companion. He overworks himself and does not care for self maintenance.

Oliver: oh its okay I always overwork myself as well

The man walks over to Kai and heals his neck

Oliver: is he going to be okay?

???: he will. In time.

Oliver: okay oh by the way *grabs a homemade bag of brownies* here as a present I just moved in across the street

???: thank you. *he takes the bag* Kai will appreciate these. Though I hope you will be discreet about...my condition.

Oliver: *smiles* oh don't worry about it I have some of the same .... well condition

???:oh?

Oliver: yeah it might now look like it but I'm a vampire

Oliver: I'm pretty sure I'm about 100 years old now

Xavier: i remember it starting...and ending. Went to plenty of speakeasys

Oliver: yeah i mostly just stayed back away from everything I didn't care much as it didn't effect me much

Kai rolls over and groans, Xavier doesnt mind him

Oliver: *looks over at Kai* oh it looks like their waking up possibly

Xavier: i do not pity his existence. He is mortal, therefore his use will undoubtedly run out at some point.

Oliver: well I mean yes that's correct but mortals aren't all bad and we shouldn't disregard them they still have feelings

Xavier: tell me. Have you ever had to truly survive? Because that's what is going on here. Kai may live with me, and sleep with me, but his sole purpose is to be a blood bag, everything else is a bonus.

Oliver: that's kinda rude to him though and yes Iv had to truly survive but I lived with my vampire friend so we feed off each other

Kai opens his eyes, his breathing steadies

Oliver: I'm not telling you how to live I'm saying its just better if two vampires live together humans are fragile but they still have feelings and emotions

Xavier: please leave the premises.

Oliver: jez okay I'll leave *walks out the house*

The next day you see Kai walking along the sidewalk

Oliver: *walks over to Kai* hey are you okay I just wasn't sure after what happened yesterday

Kai shrugs " yeah...just an iron deficiency. I got light headed"

Oliver: oh I carry iron supplements that I never need if you ever need one

Kai: ....thanks. you know, Xavier doesn't like you

Oliver: that's fine most people like him don't like me because of my veiws

Kai: hes...hes very traditional. He doesn't like change. *Kai looks tired, circles under his eyes, bandages wrapping around his arms*

Oliver: yeah most people like him are just know if you ever feel like your being mistreated you can always knock on my door I wont mind at all

Kai: what do you mean by that? You think hes hurting me?

Oliver: no its just *sighs* I know something about him you don't he doesn't really see you as a person and so I'm just saying if you ever start to feel like your being treated as less than you are you can come to me I wont mind

"Yeah okay...whatever."

You see Xavier peer though the window then turning away

Oliver: odd *shrugs and I go about my normal cleaning of my house*

You hear yelling from the house, Kai steps outside, still yelling

Oliver: *carefully steps out wanting to make sure everything is okay*

Kai has his duffel bag with him

Oliver: *walks over to Kai* hey is everything alright?

Kai turns around, his face is bruised

Oliver: *gasps* what happened Kai?

Kai:....please dont....

Oliver: don't what?

Kai: he thinks this is...your fault. You've brainwashed me or something.

Oliver: what I didn't brainwash you what does he think is my fault?

Kai: i dont know. He kicked me out...for how long, I don't know. But im starving.

Oliver: oh I'm sorry to hear that Iv got plenty of food in my house if you want some

Kai: no like....really hungry... *he stops and clutches his stomach*

Oliver: *my eyes widen and I go over to Kai* what do you need what kind of food do you need

Kai kneels "I need blood...I need to taste it..."

Oliver: *takes a deep breath and he pulls Kia to him exposing his neck to Kai* just bite me I'll be fine I promise

Kai bites deep, it tears at the flesh

Oliver: *hisses a bit in pain but I stay put letting Kai do what he needs*

Kai lets go

Oliver: *looks up at Kai* better?

Kai: more.....

Oliver: then take more i don't mind

Kai: no I need new blood....

Oliver: good thing I have this then *pulls a bag of blood out from my bag* this good?

Kai bites into it, his fangs are small not very sharp

Oliver: *watches Kai making sure he is okay*

Kai: damn this is good.

Oliver: well its humans blood did Xavier turn you into a vampire?

Kai:....what?

Oliver: well i mean vampires crave blood so i just thought....

Kai: you think...but....he....he......im a.....

Oliver: woah are you okay I didn't mean to make you freak out

Kai: oh my god, im a vampire....

Oliver: its not as bad as you think being a vampire

Kai blacks out

Oliver: crap *gently picks Kai up and heads into my house so random people don't see what's going on*

Later Kai wakes up

Oliver: *I had placed you on the couch and I'm cooking but I turn to see Kai waking up and I walk over* are you okay Kai?

Kai: hungry...

Oliver: comes closer* Im cooking something do you think you can wait till its done cooking or do you need something right now?

Kai: blood...now...

Oliver: okay *tilts my head giving Kai access to my neck* go ahead I don't mind

Kai bites and takes big sips

Oliver:*grunts a bit in pain but stays still letting Kai drink as much as he needs*

Kai lets go

Oliver: are you better now?

He nods

Oliver: okay good now I'll keep cooking *carefully I clean the wound and I go back to cooking*

Kai: you said you lived with someone?

Oliver: yeah my friend is out hunting right now he'll get home in a hour

Kai: okay...

Oliver: just a warning he can be aggressive he doesn't like new people

Kai nods
"Are you and he....?"

Oliver: if your asking if me and my friend are both vampires then yes

Kai:...close?

Oliver: *thinks for a moment* I mean he's my friend I wouldn't really say I'm too close with him

Kai: ah...

Oliver: yeah he's more of a friend if anything I just let him stay with me because he doesn't have anywhere else to go

Kai waits for food to be done

Oliver: *after a few minutes he finishes cooking the steaks and he fixes three plates and sets one down next to Kai* here you go

Kai: thank you

Oliver: no problem *goes to sit at the table as I start eating*

Kai: you said your friend would be home soon?

Oliver: yeah my friend should be coming in any minute now

Kai eats the steak

*soon my friend come inside the house and I don't really say anything as he just grabs his plate and goes into his room*

Kais phone keeps going off

Oliver: *looks over at Kai* are you going to get that?

Kai: ....no. I dont really want to...

Oliver: oh okay is everything okay?

Kai: its xavier.

Oliver: oh well just mute your notifications or tell him you don't wanna talk

Kai nods, focused on his steak

*soon my roommate comes out his room and just throws the clean plate into the dishwasher completely ignoring you and goes back to his room*

Kai: hi.

*my roommate ignores you* Oliver: sorry about him he's not a friendly person

Kai nods and goes outside

*Oliver doesn't follow Kai just letting him take time to think*

Kai hisses as sunlight touches his skin

Oliver: oh shit yeah *quickly grabs Kai and brings him back inside*

Kai: that hurt......

Oliver: yeah a side affect of being a vampire

You see burns on his skin and his phone rings

Oliver: here let me treat those burns *ignores the phone ringing and I bend down as I start putting on some healing cream on your burns*

The call picks up on its own
Xavier: baby bird...Come home...

Oliver: *immediately recognizes the voice since vampires remember everything and I look up at Kai to see his reaction*

Xavier: I have enough blood and protection for a new fang like yourself. A coffin to sleep in. Ill teach you to be a real vampire.
Kai covers his ears

Oliver: hey its okay *smiles calmly at Kai and I turn back to Kai's phone my voice cold and distant* Xavier leave Kai alone he doesn't want to talk to you

Kais fangs grow, he whimpers in pain
Xavier: you'll come crawling back soon enough.

Oliver:*uses his speed to quickly come back with a blood bag knowing it helps with the pain* hey its okay Kai its all okay I know its sucks now but its because your fangs are growing it happens to all vampires

Kai: it hurts....so much...

Oliver: yeah I know just bite into something it should help
