as long as you dont pass it off as your own, tracing is a good way to learn a style. its not bad, but just dont pass it off as your own

Tracing isnt even that good for learning it

I typically study someone's art that I like and see how I could apply the things I like into my own art

tracing in certain cases isn't bad. if you are giving credit to the original artist then it's fine. if your are passing it off as your own then is plagerism.
