A day must come
when you realize; that some person would rather destroy you,
or destroy the image of you
they hold in their mind, so they can feel
as good as they need to
about what they
did to you and asked of you
when they refused to give up
the habit, belief, chemical
or harmful social connection
that was ruling their life
and made the choice to serve that
over their health and your well being. there ain't nothin you can do about it; "Maybe someday"
is all you can say
Detach with love and
get some distance is all you can do
Anything else is to fall into the same trap in which they toil
and you'll end up alienating yourself and others
just as they did to you
while you're trying to hang on to them; individually
