It must mean that LIFE itself is a good thing No Matter How It Ultimately Ends. I run a fun/educational site on animals. We often feature birds. Often, I show both heart-warming parent birds feeding instinctually hunting 100 insects to feed their baby chicks. Then, I see larger parent birds feeding their chicks the baby chicks of other species of smaller birds. Both type of birds are competing to make it in Life. Both creatures "deserve" to live. Yet, such is the way of the Nature. As "civilized" animals, that is, we (humans), are compassionate, we would like to save the world. However, we can't save everyone. In the final analysis, all over the world folks want to come to America. It is a Privilege to come to a compassionate, civilized place, BUT, as hard as we try, we can't feed the entire world. Your question makes me realize that we must take care of our own chicks first. Thank you for your eye opening comment.
