what's a newgen?

Person who is new to imgflip, as denoted by join date. Anyone with a 2025 join date is either an alt or a newgen. If you joined before late 2024 I think you're generally considered not a newgen, though it is somewhat subjective.

would this count as an alt? I've been on IMGflip since 2020, but went inactive In 2022, forgot my original acc so this is the new one.
