I swear, every time I see someone treating their dog like it’s some disposable toy, I lose another piece of my soul.
You don’t deserve that dog. You don’t deserve its goofy little tail wags, its excited hops when you walk in the door, or the way it curls up next to you like you’re the center of the universe. That dog would fight a bear for you, and you can’t even give it a proper walk? You’re scrolling on your phone while it’s staring at a wall like, “please, human, grass?” Disgusting.
Dogs literally came out of the wild to chill with us because they liked us. They said, “yeah, I’ll trade survival instincts for belly rubs and crumbs.” And THIS is how people repay them? By yelling at them for existing too loud? By leaving them in the yard like lawn ornaments? Nah. I hope every bad dog owner steps on a Lego barefoot every single day for the rest of their lives.
