Yes, but only as a ghost due to his immortal spark, and also possesses other Decepticons like Scourge and Sweep to regain a physical form and power. He does eventually get his body back after making a deal with Unicron, but, like his various attempts at Megatron, betrays him. He does get re-destroyed and blown into space but then he reappears as a ghost again in Beast Wars.
