To be fair, that one was pretty much unavoidable. I can't code for shit, but I know enough about the basics that it's pretty much impossible to make an invincible defense against hackers. There's always some crack in the armor.

That said, I won't take blame away from the Online Censorship Act. Anyone that knows anything about surfing on the web knows that giving away information about yourself is just a BAD idea.

The more cynical take would be that the law was written with the intent of being exploited.

"Oh no! Those pesky hackers made your government id public?! Let us help you Mr. Johnson! ... Oh dear. It would appear you've criticized PM Starmer on discord, Mr Johnson. And since this wasn't information obtained by the government, we've violated no privacy laws in prosecuting you for it. How do you plead?"
