The answer to why I changed it was to say that people migrated to the Eurasian continent as well but we still consider them Native Europeans and Native Asians. So why should the people who migrated to the Americas be considered any other than Native Americans?

I was using his own template against him to show that you could put any continent(except Africa) in the place of the Americas and it will still make sense. If this was posted in a historical stream then it would just be that, historical fact. But since this was posted in a politics stream that must mean that the meaning behind the post is political. My logical conclusion is that OP was trying to diminish the historical claim that the original settlers of the Americas(Native Americans) had to the land to try and justify colonization. The timing of this post also couldn't be any worse considering that it is currently Columbus Day, further supporting the pro-colonization rhetoric that this post displays
