its certainly an odd game compared to most other Mario games

I like it though, being worse than most of the Mario games and it still being a decent 7 speaks a lot about the series' quality

I do see why people like it. but it definitely doesn't appeal to me. I was confused about the game so much that after some point I wasn't even motivated to open the game to continue.
