Xenusian, you just used the definite article while explaining a general point. If you're going to criticise other people's grammar, your own has to be beyond reproach first; you clearly have a strong grasp of grammar and syntax in general, but you're no grammarian. Why are you bulling people who don't have the same strengths as you do? It's not impressive, and you just come off as a vain know-it-all.
