That's the simplest silane, SiH4
Then there are other more complex ones
And they have multiple applications, from adhesives to being used to make solar panels to potential use as a rocket fuel on the Moon
sand being one of its reactants means that hypothetically you could imagine it landing on the surface of the Moon and it would instantly create a landing pad for itself
