I agree with you. Our Democrat politicians miscalculated how brainwashed and uninformed Americans are today. That miscalculation caused the rise of Trump 2.0.
Republicans wouldn't have squandered away an opportunity so blatantly traitorous as Jan 6th.

Yes, they really messed up either rerunning Biden or pulling him last minute and expecting those on the fence to not only vote for a woman, but a person of color. That was a costly mistake. Heck, I am surprised there haven't been more conspiracies about that. People can be very small minded, asking them to pivot, or accept change last minute is a BIG ask for the majority of humans.

Sure there would have been right wing disinformation and controversy over choosing a socialist Jew. But other than maga? The mans popularity with Democrats, independents, and even Rino's was far better than any Democrat they offered.

Yeah, I have a bad feeling this is going to go in a terrible direction, that a majority of Americans are not ready to handle or are prepared for.

I once worked with a Bosnia Muslim refugee who explained how people change through hardships.
He said in the beginning, it was a political event. But when people started suffering because of the war, politics becomes a distant memory.Nothing mattered but survival of yourself and your family.

It's a horrible thing to say, but universal suffering of all American people?

That is exactly what happens. America becomes a 3rd world country and we are fighting for food and water. The pandemic was just a sample of "the walking dead" society we could easily become.
