The government is not perfect. You cannot trust the government to perfectly handle gun registries and gun control. Especially when we're talking about a very corrupt entity like the U.S. government. And you are an idiot if you think that preventing Americans from being able to stop tyranny from the U.S. government is a good thing. The president of Venezuela was able to keep himself in power even after losing an election by confiscating all the guns from citizens. And you know what? Said confiscation didn't even stop most of the violence there. The gangs and cartels there still run rampant in Venezuela. The only ones without a gun are the citizens, and thus they are unable to protect themselves. And if we have gun control in America, we'd get the same outcome. "Owning a gun is a crime" will not deter criminals from using them as weapons, since they'd be committing crimes anyway. It will only prevent innocent civilians from being able to adequately protect themselves and use reciprocal force. So when gun control inevitably happens in this country, expect more children to die, not less.
