Erm, sorry to absolutely ruin this meme, but creeper spawn eggs only spawn creepers if they are placed by a player. If it is falling, it must have been dropped by the player or shot from a dispenser, and if so, will not spawn a creeper.
Also, the dinosaurs went extinct because of numerous factors, such as floods and vitamin D deficit, and actually, only the larger ones died first, the smaller ones survived but without Vitamin D and catastrophic disasters happening a lot, they died out.
In summary, Creeper eggs cannot fall and spawn a Creeper, and it wasn't just the asteroid that killed them off.
