except my band director has no concept of what rain does to woodwind instruments and makes us march in the rain anyways

Mine Understands, thought if it starts raining while we are outside its pit/battery (with the electronics),Woodwinds,brass,props

also this is coming from a fellow woodwind, if it is raining COVER YOUR KEYS (is you know the fingering if not ask someone in your section) and let your instrument dry out.

ik, one football game it was raining hard asf and that night i left my instrument out to dry and was desperately trying to get out all the moisture

any damage?

not that i really noticed, later that season I think a spring broke in my thumb key bc it wouldn't move but other than that it was fine
