It could be a good show even if it’s in hell.
The problem is they spend more time on singing, gay tension, swearing, and sex jokes.
Helluva Boss is actually better than HH because even if they follow the same overused sexual humor, shit gets DONE in that show. In two seasons we had more story than Hazbin Hotel has. I’m aware HH has two season as well, but they barely learned anything within those two seasons. Nothing was accomplished other than “Alastor sold his soul, then got it back.” Charlie found out how redemption works, but has no way of actually convincing anyone to follow through. Also, Angel Dust’s big plot twist sin is so stupid and obvious that it felt rather pointless. Plus the fact that he ran back to Val at the end for no apparent reason other than he “fewt bad for being a big bad super spy”

That’s actually a more… unimportant(?) “plot hole” when you look at the show through what it tries to accomplish. It tries to show that redemption is possible know matter who you are (at least that is a major theme) by placing the show in hell, where the worst, most awful people go, and watching them find love, friendship, and a place to belong where there isn’t a cock or a Glock in their face, you can truly see the impact of their redemption. I like to say, “what sounds more memorable, an angry mother apologizing to her kid for yelling, or a now sober alcoholic mom apologizing to her kid for beating the shit out of them for years?”
