Dang, world building snag just hit, I need some outside thoughts on this predicament. Ever since "Ever Dawn"'s lore has been developed more intensely and seriously, I've been conflicted, should The United Empire of Mankind have the " empire " dropped and replaced with something else? Like Republic? I mean, it is a Unitarian democracy with a partial market socialist economy, must I say more? And ever since I started watching star wars lore videos, I never realised how badass the term " Republic " can be, grand army of the republic? Goes hard. Yet a part of me wants to stick with empire, after all, humanity is on this crusading mission to liberate the galaxy and beyond from tyranny and oppression, and in that light, empire is a kinda cool title for them, strong and powerful, it has impact. But maybe its time to let go? To evolve the name even if it feels weird, maybe its for the better? Idk, thought I would get some help on this inner debate.
