it's an indie metroidvania (if i had a nickel for every time i heard those words i'd be able to pay an actual game dev)

there are two primordial magics:
the Demiurge, a force of light that slowly corrupts all that are exposed to it, with the primary goal of turning the universe into nothing but meaningless light.
and the Chaos, a dark energy that reanimates corpses to do its bidding of melting the entire universe into nothing but more Chaos.

you play as this soldier named Jiyu who is one of the only survivors of a horribly destructive battle that killed most of the population of the kingdom. because almost everyone is dead, the primordial magics have reanimated many of the bodies, and Jiyu must travel this destroyed kingdom in the hopes of either siding with one of the forces and completing its ultimate goal, or forcing them to fight to a standstill for eternity, letting humanity rebuild.
