Richard was originally a blue dog before the show’s premiere, but they eventually made him a pink rabbit instead.
While many official sources say that Gumball was back after a seven-year hiatus (same hiatus length as Happy Tree Friends did in 2016 and came back with the short “No Scream Time” in 2023), Gumball actually came back after a six-year hiatus, not counting the two miniseries Darwin’s Yearbook and The Gumball Chronicles.
