slight trigger warning for something a little gross you probably wouldnt look up for fun.




So you probably know i'm that reaperus or cyrus guy. Yup, thats me. You're probably wondering how I got here (parents found acc and i immediately had to plan deletion for personal reasons)




In my time on this account which ive hardly used, I've had a LOT happen. Not for the... best.
so uh... genuine trigger warning for some really nasty disease i got.



I guess i started to notice a bump or something on my actual ass, but it didnt mean anything to me yet, i sort of ignored it. i took a trip in the car where i eventually found out it kinda hurt a little more, and it got progressively worse a few days later as i thought it was just tailbone pain or something. Eventually the pain got so excrutiating i couldnt even lie on my back or walk properly at all. i tried sleeping on my stomach which i did for 30 minutes until i woke up groaning in pain again.

Ibuprofens/other painkillers clearly dont work by now, so eventually my parents took me to the emergency room where they diagnosed it as an infected pilonidal cyst. Its sort of like an abscess or infection on your ass. It hurts like hell. Mine is at the top of the skin so its close but its too small so its not filled from what i know yet. I took some antibiotics for 5 days, before going to the urgent care to get rechecked so I could get new antibiotics. They gave me a stronger dose which quickly worked, and by my 18th birthday, i could sit again (NO LEANING BACK). So now i'm an adult. A few days in on the new antibiotics I develop probably what seems to be covid, and a few days later a headache that gets BAD when i stand up, so Im guessing its from taking so many meds for over a while, so i stopped the antibiotics for now. Just to see if it improves, then i can take the antibiotics again, but i feel like the abscess thing might come back and ill be in constant agony again which i genuinely fear. The thing about pilonidal cysts is they usually dont just go away. They usually stay and thus need surgery.



I definitely feel a lot better now, so feel free to ask me anything i guess

and the worst thing is, theres not much you can do to prevent it. mine was mild but didnt stop it from being the most prolonged pain of my life
