It's like YouTube where it automatically disables comments on videos featuring children under 13 to protect them.

I see videos featuring little kids without the comments disabled all the time on instagram tho

I'm pretty sure pedo is actually a term for youngling in another language if I remember correctly, which would be the root of pedophilia or pedophile

it is. but people use the word to refer to pedophiles and it's not a good idea to use it for children even though that's what it actually means. especially on instagram
