Statement about the current situation in the comments as it's too long to fit into the title

I think that the lag and HTTP error 500 and request errors and stuff arent caused by an update or an error on imgflips end but rather whoever is spam downvoting and low rating everything is causing the servers to lag
This might be a stretch but maybe whoever is doing this is some extremely salty user who is/was very hated that's trying to get the site shutdown as "revenge", although I honestly have no clue what user that would even be, but I wouldn't be surprised if such user existed

Now would be a good time to add IP bans and banning people with vpns

I think we should just wait

The only issue is we have no clue who the person doing all this downvote bombing is so we wouldn't even know who to IP ban even if we could

I'm also unsure if such actions would even shut down the site permanently or would just cause the servers to crash temporarily or however long it takes them to fix them
