Worst Republican Ever

At this point no MAGA politicians should be considered Republicans. They’ve drifted so far to the right it’s not the same party anymore.

While I disagree, that certainly is an interesting point that I haven't heard anyone else bring up. My fellow Republicans, this is why it is so important to listen to the other side as well: you'll never know what unique insight you'll find. Even if you think it's wrong, it's definitely interesting.

On a related note, would you think of Trump wanting to get rid of the penny? He hasn't talked about it much recently, but he did at one point. I was actually kind of surprised at how unbiased the left leaning newspapers were about it. They were like, "I dunno, we talked to a lot of experts and they seemed open to the idea. It could crash the economy, but it could also greatly improve it. Either way, it's definitely not Trump's worst idea." CNN actually said that Trump was UNDERSTATING how wasteful minting pennies are on an economic level. They listed both the pros and cons, while FOX only listed the pros.

Most of the liberals I've seen online also seem to be in favor of it. They're saying things like "wow, I never thought I would agree with Trump on something." There are a few people who are firmly against it, but not nearly as many as I expected.

So what are your thoughts on the matter?

Okay I had a whole response typed up but accidentally deleted it. So in summary: I would be supportive of phasing out the penny, since it costs three times it’s worth to make and wouldn’t make the average person’s life any less convenient. As long as we’re careful that sounds to me like a great idea
