Zohran Mamdani makes 'em run

I'm excited for Mamdani despite not being a New Yorker. Not sure how much more affordable he can make it due to land value and real estate rules that have stood the test of time, even in left-leaning cities. But he could be a step in the right direction if his policies work. If not, it's back to the drawing board for AOC and the Dems.

All true. Personally, I'm very glad he won, it will give dejected people a rejuvenated belief in democracy. However, it remains to be seen if A. he wins the mayoralty and B. if he can truly change NYC for the better, what with all the obstacles he will surely face. Democracy has a bad habit of letting people down in their hour of need sometimes, and coming in clutch others.
