I know, isn’t it great?
is based off a children’s band called The Wiggles. If you don’t know who The Wiggles are, they’re essentially an Australian (Aussie, or whatever you’d like to call it) children’s band quartet that formed in May of 1991 while Greg Page, Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt and Anthony Field were playing music at a preschool and intentionally moralizing and teaching kids a lesson that eating fruit salad is good for their health and to be social and listen to their parents while they are talking.
Later in June of the same year, they released their first album with their band name and a VHS of the same name.
In 1992, they released their second album called Here Comes The Song. It is the first album to feature Dorothy the Dinosaur in their album cover.
In 1993, they released the first album to feature Captain Feathersword.
In 1995, they released the album, which was called Here Comes The Big Red Car and the third album to feature a character, this time being Wags the Dog.
In 1998, they were the fourth to release a character from their franchise, being called Wiggle Time, and this time being Henry the Octopus, who was the last character to first appear on an album or video.
In 2004, Field joined NASA, which is a space agency station.
In 2006, Sam Moran, who is a musician, was the second yellow wiggle, because Page got sick, and Moran later appeared in February of 2007, in which he was a replacement for Greg.
In 2011, Moran had his last appearance in an October/November album It’s Always Christmas With You, that in the start of 2012, he was “asked to leave the band”, Today reportedly said.
Some hours later, Greg decided to rejoin the band and in December of the same year, Greg, Jeff and Murray announced that they would retire from The Wiggles.
In 2013, new inmates, named Emma Watkins, Simon Pryce and Lachlan Gillespie joined the band.
Present Day 2016 - Emma, Lachlan, Simon and Anthony still kept making songs and albums and are having a good time.
