I mostly trace over a base image. I've gotten to the point where I don't perfectly follow the base, and I use Procreate's snap to feature less often now (draw an arc or line, hold, and it'll snap perfectly).
So this image, back when I did it, was a lot more difficult as I used Goku as a base, but had to make a lot of the details (hairs, clothes, etc) from scratch, despite the base drawing giving me a guideline.
But I'm better at it now then I was then

Also what are your favorite attacks that your character uses/main powerful ones you know how like Goku has Kamehameha Gohan has maseko piccolo has special bean Cannon
