Good for you. Enjoy your pride. You're free to be "white" (whatever that means), straight, and "Christian" (however you interpret Jesus' teachings, because I'm not sure it aligns that well with Trump's policies). No one's stopping you and you're free to do that.

If Jesus came back today, I think he might have a word with Trump though. When was the last time you even saw Trump in church? When have you seen Trump pray? Does Trump embody the fruits of the Spirit? Would Jesus be in favour of military strikes on Iran, for example?

Are you really a Christian? Or have you hijacked true Christianity for a fake "Christianism", the same way some Muslim extremists have hijacked Islam and made it Islamism?

I'm not even sure you're truly a Christian. I call bullshit, I'm sorry.

I think you're not actually a real Christian. I think you just *think* you're a Christian, no offence.

I don't think you know the first thing about what being a real Christian even is. You're a Christianist. You're part of an ideological sect that has hijacked true Christianity for Christianism. Just like Islamists have hijacked true Islam.

Most of your beliefs run completely counter to what Jesus actually taught. He didn't preach hate or warmongering. I think you're a fraud. I think you're an imposter. I think you need to take a good hard look at yourself.

Stop hijacking Christianity for your narrow political agenda.

It's not cool.

If Trump is a true Christian, then Osama Bin Laden is a true Muslim. Cut the bullshit. You fake Christians have more in common with Islamist extremists than you let on.

You and the Islamists are two peas in a pod. That's the irony. You've both hijacked the religion and twisted it.

You don't know jack about what being a real Christian means. Just admit it. It doesn't mean hating people. It doesn't mean condoning foreign military interventions and bombing kids. You're just using it as a political crutch to hide your own agenda.

Real Christians know you're full of shit btw. You're making them all look bad.

They don't need fakers like you. If you were genuinely a follower of the true Christ, you wouldn't espouse this kind of hateful ideology. Get your own religion and stop stealing other people's.

You have a beam in your own eye.

Yes. Quite possibly. You can probably build a ship with the beams in my eye. Judge not, lest ye be judged. You're free to make that assessment.

Difference is I'm not the one claiming to be a follower of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and committing to emulate his teachings and actions in my godly Spirit-filled life and show compassion and forgiveness to my fellow man.

If someone's gonna claim to be a Christian and especially a Catholic, it might be an idea to read up on what the Catholic Church actually teaches, and also what the most recent Popes have said concerning Trump and JD Vance (unless they follow a different unaffiliated Catholic church?) We all know the Church's traditional official stance towards homosexuality as a sin and their views on contraception and abortion and so on, but I'm pretty sure neither the Church nor Jesus himself doesn't/didn't specifically preach to hate on people, demonize minorities, be sympathetic to white ethnonationalism, or condone the slaughter of innocents and overthrowing governments by military force. Render unto Caesar, and hate the sin, not the sinner, etc.

You don't know the person you were so, so, so quick to judge. I'm not reading your dissertation on why you are not a raging hypocrite. Shut up and do better.

I would like to add that if YOU are a Christian, then YOU owe this person an apology for being so judgemental and making accusations based on absolutely ZERO evidence when that person has done absolutely NOTHING TO YOU TO DESERVE IT. In fact, I would go so far as to say you are subconsciously projecting your own inadequacies and spiritual failings. Again, do better.

Your comment is fair. I did judge them very harshly and probably do owe them an apology. I don't know the person from Adam and it's not my place to question the state of their soul or relationship with God. And you're right that they have done nothing to me personally to warrant an attack.

You're also right that I was projecting a bit and generalizing. My point should've been directed more at politics in general than an attack of an individual I don't even know. So I fully accept your criticism on that.

I'm not a Christian btw as I perhaps didn't make clear enough. So I don't claim to follow Christian rules. You can judge me on my own moral code (or lack thereof, depending on how you see it). My point is if you (ie one) do(es) claim to follow Christ, your values should at least be consistent with what he taught, and probably also align more closely with the teachings of the Church you say you belong to (the Catholic Church's less-than-glowing record on human rights over the ages notwithstanding.)

I stand by my argument about Christianity being weaponized by the political right in recent years and used to support agendas that do not reflect actual teachings of the religion, and that in fact run counter to a lot of what the religion represents.

People like Trump and a lot of his fans are keen to push Christianity as part of their rhetoric, but they often don't live according to standard Christian doctrine. This happens in other countries too. It's been used to create an identity, partly to distinguish itself from Islam (perceived as a threat to Western, "Christian" values and civilization).

That's why I say it's similar to how radical Muslims have pushed Islamism to justify their positions and confuse mainstream Islam with their radical interpretation of it. Suicide bombings are an example. They're specifically prohibited in Islam and condemned by a lot of mainstream muftis. And suicide itself is one of the most serjous sins. (Martyrdom is a specific case. But it's been twisted by extremists to justify the murder of innocents.) Killing innocent people is prohibited. Islam is also pretty clear on the rules of warfare. As far as I'm aware, you're not even allowed to destroy animals or crops even in times of war.

If Trump and others doing similar just came out and said they were agnostic or not practising or whatever, and didn't invoke Christianity for their political goals, I'd have no issue. Church and state should probably be kept separate.

Furthermore, if you can quote the rules, YOU CAN OBEY THEM.

Good day.
