Age of Misery concepts 1(Sci-fi universe passion project/lore in comments)

Vengeance Dawn can be broken up into roughly 3 segments, the age of misery (2036-2520), The great reconstruction and the age of the republic (2550-2800) And the age of the empire (Modern/3001). Note that this division focuses solely on humanity's journey, which while are the "main characters" there is lore that reaches as far back as the creation of the universe itself a(I promise that somehow effects modern events, maybe ill write a book)

So let us begin with the "Age of Misery" and diving into thus ridiculous world!

By 2030, mankind had begun inching itself to self annihilation, global tensions had boiled over into a full scale war (referred to as the third great war), the threat of nuclear violence was certain to manu. Further fueled by the 2034 great oil crisis. However, an unexpected change would forever shape mankind's path, for better or worse. On Friday August 12 2036, a rather large unidentified vessel had been detected and spotted by NASA. The USNA (United States of Northern America) would attempt to keep such discovery hidden, but word spreads like wildfire in the age of technology, and soon 100s people began claiming to see a small unnatural speck resting in front of the moon.

Suspicion turned to confirmation and on Saturday August 13 to, the dot would begin to grow its shape becoming barely, but surely, visible to those lucky to glance through a telescope. A few short hours, the government had released confirmation that indeed, that spec may just be an alien sjip, its intensions, a will be known very soon. News outlets exploded, rushing to cover the event, that yes, we are not alone in this vacuum of space.

To a degree, the ship (An Arkiahn colony ship far outside its emperium''s borders) had slowed the fighting of nations as they turned attention to the glistening heavens above. But that amazement wouldn't last long...

6:30am: USNA, E.U, and BRIC, receive a message, presumably from the ship, what it says, undetermined.

7:00am: Nations scramble to decode and figure out the message, only for a second to intercept, and its been tuned to fit the language of its receiver; its message? An ultimatum: "We gift you a chance to accept defeat, it will be easier for your species, declining is not an option"

7:25am: News outlets catch wind of the events,the human race stands on the edge.

7:35am: Nuclear Missiles armed globally, some make the bizarre claim that countries with nuke each other to deter the alien race. The clock keeps ticking, hearts keep beating.

7:50am: Nations attempt to send a message to the ship, threatening that should the ship attempt to invade, there will be consequences. The UFO rapidly approaches Earth, the clock melts in agony.

8:00am: EAS systems go off in Germany,Czech republic, Slovakia, and the Baltic states as a dozens of pod shaped craft slam into warsaw, Poland. (The 24 hour war begins)

To sum up the 24 hour, it was a period of short and terrifying destruction. Countries crumbled while others surrendered, forced radio silent once they did. Some fired nukes at the ship, and when that failed, out of shear fear, fired upon themselves. By the 20th hour,Europe, 60% of Asia, 50% of Africa, and 30% of and the America's had been snatched. Backed into a corner, humanity whimpered and cried for mercy, and would surrender 4 hours later. Nearly 1.2 billion died, and untold millions injured. Only 3.1 million would flee the far polar extremes (Arkiahn are picky pricks, so they hate the cold). These 3 million would come to form the later nation of Great Borea.

But we will leave that for now. That is just the mete tip of the great misery the start of slavery, suffering, hatred and war. Questions? What did you think so far? Let me know!
