I think he'd be pretty displeased for a good bit and then ultimately just disregard his lack of a bag because now is not the time to worry about a bag

The reason he wore a bag isn't quite as simple as "he hates his face" (that was the case at one point)
While he dislikes the look of his own face, he also just really likes the bag
He isn't miserable because he has the face he wants and can express himself
Without his bag, he can't comfortably make simple gestures like a smile and frown
The bag is more of a face to him than his own

He ultimately just stops caring about that because there are bigger fish to fry
He just totally disregards the bag
