Islam is a religion, not a nationality. You come and say that Iranian scientists are not Iranians, they are Muslims. You think that every scientist who is Muslim is an Arab. There are many sources in historical books that say that Rumi and Ismail Khata are Iranians. Rumi was born in Balkh, and Afghanistan was part of Iran, and Shah Ismail I was born in Ardabil (Azerbaijan, Iran). And the Republic of Azerbaijan has no history and was formed since the collapse of the Soviet Union.

But are there sources in historical books that say muslim scientists were persians ? Not really as the only things that asserts such claims are internet websites.
