- So far, I have the lobby, which is a convenience store in the middle of nowhere.
- The main character's name is "Sean".
- The game will cover themes of insanity.
- The gameplay itself will be inspired by "Doors" because for one, I don't feel like making a whole ass maze, and two, it helps the story progress more with less likely to repeat dialogue.
- There will be 6 stages (each stage will be 50 rooms long, for a total of 300 rooms)
At stage 0, Sean will be perfectly sane.
At stage 1, Sean will begin to question why he's in the backrooms, he'll begin to question various things, while also beginning to have small auditory hallucinations (such as knocking)
At stage 2, Sean will begin to ramble about his childhood and recall memories of his mother and his brother.
At stage 3, Sean will begin to have visual hallucinations. The player can't see any hallucinations through Sean's eyes. Sean will begin to feel apprehensive. He will only recall memories of his father.
At stage 4, Sean will panic. He will see more foreign things and begin to feel fear. He will feel overwhelmed and will speak in all caps. He will hear whispering at this point. But again, the player themselves can't hear anything, and must rely on Sean's dialogue. The memories of his father specifically will be at its most intense.
At stage 5, Sean will be completely silent. This is the final stage of the game.
- Every 25 rooms, there will be a record player, signifying how far you are in the game. Each record player plays a different song.
- There is no voice acting. There are only subtitles. You have to actually read for once.
- There will be no entities other than Sean and some mundane office furniture that will be scarcely peppered throughout the various rooms.
