Stage one cover means: a newspaper, which is something that really only old people use nowadays, showing the patient is old, and is only at the beginning of suffering from dementia.
Stage two: it shows a very messed up looking flower pot, while the flowers inside of it are small, but still there. On the pot, it shows nostalgic looking images, but you can barely make much out of it, showing that the patient is trying to put something together, and can kind of make some things out.
Stage three: Much like the songs in stage three, the cover is very chaotic and jumbled, it’s difficult to put together what it is supposed to be, showing that the patient is really struggling to remember anything.
Stage four: It shows what looks like a sculpture of a woman’s face. The thing is, some of the colors on the sculpture are melting, or melted. I think it shows that the patient is trying to make out the face of his wife, but can’t seem to make out a face.
Stage five: it shows an image that is very difficult to tell what it is supposed to be. After analyzing it, I’ve decided it looks like a woman in a dress with a cane, walking down stairs. It shows that the patient has probably forgotten about his wife, so he just tries to remember anything, just one thing, and manages to think of this.
Stage six: there’s a debate going on about whether it is the front of a canvas or the back, but I think it is the back. It shows that the patient fully can no longer make out any images, and there was probably a beautiful image on the other side of the canvas, but it was turned away, and we won’t be able to see it.
