Public enemy chapter 4: Heads and Tails (I couldn't come up with any good art)

Shuri walked through the hallways with authority. The walls were paved with blood of the demons that tried to escape the clutches of that mechanical malice. She opened the door to the interrogation room and saw two robots. One of them was aiming a gun at her while the other one sat on the table, staring at the other side.
Soul: Intruder!
She says charging up an attack but CTRL attached a wire to her head and gave her a controlled shock, making her stop.
CTRL: I told you already, we were going to see one of them.
Soul: Apologies, leader.
Shuri takes a seat in front of the robots and clears her throat, putting authority in her tone of voice.
Shuri: May I ask why you are here?
CTRL shifts its position and leans forward with the sound of ambient static filling the room.
CTRL: Your demons have been taking out blood supply away from me, causing my strength to get weaker overtime, and demon blood does not suffice to the extent humans have.
Shuri: I see… well how about a deal? You will help me defeat a certain man, and you can drain his blood all you like.
CTRL: And why would I help the likes of you? Your may not be human, but your process of thinking and your motives are identical in every way-
The demon slams her hands on the table in pure rage, bursting into flames and yelling at the top of her lungs
Shuri: DON’T YOU EVER… EVER COMPARE ME TO THOSE FILTHY SAPIENS!
Soul glances at CTRL in concern but it doesn’t seem fazed. In fact, it seemed to have predicted this would have been the case.
CTRL: Couldn’t keep up the “In charge of this situation” attitude? How pathetic.
Shuri calms down and sits back down, lowering the room temperature back to normal. She then stares at CTRL with a little smile on her face.
Shuri: Aha~ So sorry for that… I just lost my temper a little…
She says playing with her hair to lighten the mood, however CTRL is not amused.
CTRL: If you have nothing else for us, then perhaps we will use your blood instead…
It says as multiple wires grow out of him and start inching towards Shuri. Soul watches in manic glee, waiting for impact, but Shuri calmly speaks.
Shuri: Perhaps you wouldn’t want a shot at killing Kingsman?
CTRL: …Kingsman…
The wires retract back into it as it sits back down.
CTRL: I’m listening…
Shuri smirks, thinking how perfect her plan is coming up… that damn kingsman is probably scared for his life right now…

Matt: THIS IS THE BEST FIGHT OF MY LIFE!!
He says dashing behind Eren and stabbing a Nobody in the head. Eren turned the direction Matt came from and shot a Fury three times in the chest before running up and drop kicking it. Suddenly the body of a demon slides towards Eren as she gets an idea. She jumps on top of the demon, pushing herself off the ground like a skateboard, and slides through the battlefield, shooting in all directions as she does so. She barely misses Matt who dodges out of the way, as the bullets hit multiple demons behind him.
Matt: Hey watch where you’re aiming, asshat!
Eren: Keep that up and I’ll aim for your mouth next!
The two laugh. They keep fighting off the demon, slashing through with great force, while rushing through until they reach a stronger demon… A demon with full knight armor flies down in front of them…
Steelwing: Surrender now, foul sapien! I will not ask again!
Matt: Foul? But I just took a shower this morning-
Eren: Oh yeah I’ve been meaning to ask you, what shampoo do you use?
Matt: Well I usually use heads and shoulders shampoo but when i’m out I just use whatever the hell Violet uses
Eren: Yeah yeah alright I’ll keep that in mind…
Steelwing: ENOUGH!
The demon screeches as it rushes at Matt, who parries the attack with Orobas. He then kicks the lance out of their hand and stabs the demon through the armor. He then pulls the blade out of him and watches him fall on the ground.
Matt: Huh. He overhyped himself a lot.
Eren: Yeah… I don’t get why people do that…
The two turn to walk away but the demon yells
Steelwing: Wait! I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long long time! Someone to finally be able to strike me down!
Matt turns around in confusion and places Orobas back behind his back. This catches Steelwing’s eyes as he starts pleading.
Steelwing: Orobas… So that's where you went… You became this man’s strength… then please… let me become your defense…
He says holding out his hand. Matt turns to Eren, who shrugs, not knowing what's happening. But Matt walks up and takes the hand.
Matt: Alright fine, but no talking.
Steelwing: Oh… I don’t have a weapon form… I have something much more interesting…
They say as they disappear. A red glowing orb takes its place and it jolts into Matt, causing him to fall to the ground. Eren rushes and helps him up as he looks at himself…
Matt: Wow… this is… exactly the same as how I usually feel.

He says with disappointment. He has no idea what that demon has done to him but he just decides to forget about it. Eren and him prepare to head off until they hear familiar barking in the distance.
Eren: huh? Confetti!
Confetti, everyone's favorite pomeranian, ran up to meet with its masters and barked frantically.
Matt: Woah woah calm down! That weird robot thing is back? And who the hell is Wright?
???:That would be me…
A voice is heard as a shadow is casted over the area. Matt and Eren look up and see… Matt? No wait, there’s no buttons on his jacket… and his hair is orange… and he’s flying?!
Wright: Wow! You do look exactly like me! I guess Hellen wasn’t kidding when the boss told her the orders…
Matt: What…? The Boss? Wait from Scarab?
Wright: Oh no no no no no, not THE boss! My boss! Your arch nemesis!
He pauses for dramatic effect.
Wright: …Shuri…
Matt: Who?
Eren: Who?
Confetti: Arf!
Matt: Oh that's who you were telling me about. Good boy
He says petting him. Wright, annoyed with this other him, yells to get his attention.
Wright: Hey! Eyes on the enemy! I spent so long on this speech!
Matt: Huh? Yeah look I’m not really in the mood for waiting and stuff, so could we get this over with?
Wright rolls his eyes in annoyance and rushes at Matt at top speed, grabbing him and crashing through buildings. Eren and Confetti watch in the distance as a girl runs from the opposite direction.
???: WRIGHT, YOU STUPID LITTLE- I CAN’T RUN IN A DRESS!
She says catching her breath and then running to Eren and Confetti.
Hellen: Oh. Who are you?
Eren: uh… I’m Eren. I’m the one helping the person your friend is trying to kill.
Hellen: Oh okay…
She says, too exhausted to do anything. Eren glances at Confetti who just stares back at Hellen.
Eren: So uh… does your guy also get thrown around a lot?
Hellen: You have no idea…
Meanwhile, Matt was being dragged across the buildings by Wright who was still annoyed he wasn’t being taken seriously. He then throws him onto the ground with a loud thud echoing the empty streets. His body bounces off the pavement before recovering and flipping backwards, landing on the ground safely.
Matt: Man… my chest is killing me right now…

Wright: THAT'S NOT THE ONLY THING THAT IS!
He says flying straight at him with a punch, only for Matt to block it with his arm, causing the battle to turn into close combat.. Wright continued on the offensive, throwing as many punches and kicks as he could, while the latter was purely defensive at this point. Matt wasn’t focusing on the fight and was more so trying to think hard about the new ability he got… But his thoughts were distracted by Wright yelling at him.
Wright: I don’t know why you look exactly like me, or why you’re not taking this seriously… BUT IT’S PISSING ME OFF!
He grabs Matt by the throat, and sends him into a broken building. Charging energy in his hands, Wright fires multiple blasts towards their direction, yelling out of pure frustration. But he notices something coming towards him. Running through, Matt was punching the energy blasts away from him while running towards him. He then jumps in the air and lands a kick on Wright before giving him a right hook, then a left, and then multiple punches across his face, not even giving Wright a chance to breathe. He was about to land another kick, but a bright golden aura bursts from him as he cries out
Wright: ENOUGH!!
Matt flips backwards and lands on both feet, before bowing as if he just finished a stage play. Wright, now in his super form, stares at him with pure hatred. He adjusts his collar and stomps on the ground, causing the ground to shake. He then points at Orobas, which Matt hasn’t even touched ever since the battle started.
Wright: What's the point of having power like that IF YOU AREN’T GONNA USE IT!?!
Matt glances back at Orobas, and then back to Wright. He then stomps on the ground the same way he did earlier and tilted his head up with a smile. Wright yells at him with rage, rushing at him and attempting to dropkick him, but his leg is grabbed by Matt, who holds him up in the air.
Matt: Do you know how many times I’ve seen that exact same move today?
He says spinning him around and launching him into the air. Wright recovers mid air and looks around, only to see Matt resting on top of a roof.
Matt: Words of advice. Think with your head, not just your heart.

Wright is taken aback by this and suddenly realizes what he’s saying… he takes a deep breath and calms down. He rushes down at Matt and is about to land a punch. He prepares to block, but he stops the punch and hits Matt with his other hand, catching him off guard. He gets knocked into the ground and wipes the blood off his cheek.
Matt: Now that's more like it! We can finally fight for real!
He says taking out Orobas and stares at Wright, who is smiling with confidence and rushes in at him. The two clash with each other, neither of them getting the upper hand. Meanwhile, Eren and Hellen hear a huge explosion from the city Wright took Matt.
Hellen: Jesus… I never saw him fighting to this extent…
Eren: Want to take a closer look?
She says grabbing her by the back of the collar.
Hellen: Wait what are you doi-
Eren starts running to the town at max speed as Hellen gets dragged along with her in order to watch the battle. Confetti runs close behind in order to tag along. Back at the fight. Matt and Wright are still clashing, fist to blade, until Matt swings at him and stabs him in the chest. Thinking quickly, Wright pulls out Orobas from his chest and stabs Matt with it as a counter. Both of them fall down on the ground as Matt removes the blade from his chest. The two regain their footing as he puts Orobas back behind his back. He coats his legs with Ares armor and rushes at him, but then quickly drops to the floor, to the surprise of Wright. Matt then pushes himself upwards, kicking him in the face. And then kicking him again on the side. Wright recovers and the two lock hands in another clash. Eren and Hellen finally make it to witness the battle unfolding as the two idiots struggle for the upper hand.
Matt and Wright: Am I really this stubborn?
Eren and Hellen: YES!
Matt then headbuts Wright and then lands a punch onto his face. Stumbling backwards, he regains his posture and lands a blow at his gut. The two are looking extremely tired… Matt noticed that Wright would glance at Hellen every once in a while to see if she’s watching. This told him everything he needed to know on why he was actually doing this. Wright went in for one more punch and sent Matt flying into the distance, crashing into buildings. Eren and Confetti rush to Matt while Wright looks completely dumbfounded.
Wright: I didn’t even hit him that hard…
He whispers to himself, wondering if he’s okay. But Hellen, overjoyed, runs up and hugs him.

Hellen: Hey! You did it! I didn’t think you had it in you, bro!
Wright: Oh uh… yeah. I guess I did! We can finally get Shuri to make us a portal home now!
Hellen: Yeah! Let's go!
The two siblings say walking off. Wright would look back at where Matt was flung and thought to himself, what the hell happened? Meanwhile, Matt was laying on the ground, coughing as Eren arrived.
Matt: Jesus christ that hurts… Never doing that again.
He says getting up, revealing his feet were coated in Ares armor. Eren looks at him with a smile and heals him up.
Eren: How long do you think it’s going to take him to figure out?
Matt: Eh… like two hours… We should get going. You got a safe haven?
Eren: Yeah… I know a place…
Meanwhile, Violet was shopping and placing things in her shopping cart. Once she got to the cashier, she looked inside… This isn’t right… she would usually buy way more but… this is enough for her entire family… Why does she feel like something is missing… She shook her head and kept going, tears streaming down her face. She didn’t know why she was crying, but she moved forwards like nothing happened. Back to Matt and Eren, they walk into an alleyway and turn to a familiar location.
Matt: Here? You’d think she’d just let me in?
Eren: I mean she’s been arrested before. I think she’d be fine.
The two walk in and see Ophelia reading a tabloid before looking up and seeing the two.
Ophelia: Ah. Hey sweetie. And why is the terrorist here?
She says adjusting her position and pointing at Matt. Eren explained everything that happened, about people's memories about him being erased, and the demons attacking the area. Ophelia just nodded and followed along but she got out a notebook calmly.
Ophelia: I’ll be honest. I wouldn’t have believed a single thing you said… if I haven’t found this.
She says holding up pictures of them as kids, paperclipped to the notebook with all the things they have done in their childhood.
Ophelia: I may not remember everything, but that's definitely my handwriting, so I’ll be happy to help you. You can take the sofa upstairs, Matt.
Matt: Oh really? Thanks mom!
He says heading up the stairs as Eren waves goodbye and heads out.
Ophelia: Oh, and Eren, honey? Could you flip the sign outside once you leave? It’s closing hours
Eren: Yeah alright! See ya!
She says, flipping the sign and leaving. Once she does so, Ophelia stares at her notebook in confusion and awe.
Ophelia: “Mom”…?

The next day, Eren and Matt are outside central street, holding a microphone and a bunch of speakers.
Eren: Are you sure about this? I’m not going to be able to help you…
Matt: I’ll be fine, don’t worry. And this is the best way to draw that boss person out…
Eren: Alright. Good luck
She says giving him a little squeeze and running off. Matt connected the speakers and tapped the mic. Perfect…
Matt: Ladies and gentlemen! It is I, the diabolical Matt Kingsman, coming at you live from Central Street! I’m just sitting here looking pretty, waiting for my next opponent, but then I realized, why not everyone at once? Come on! Give it a shot!
In a couple minutes, multiple powerful foes and once allies surround the city as Matt drops the microphone and looks around.
Matt: Now this is what I was waiting for! Come one come all!
He says walking up to the crowd with his hands out.
Matt: The main event is just about to begin!
