In the Realm of Creation, The Collector paces back in forth in stress as he talks to Inkmatas and Amber.
“You two were help hostage by that monster for a week, of course I will be worried!” The Collector says exasperated
“Collector, we weren’t really prisoners” Inkmatas says, “When the battle ended he removed my cuffs and showed us to palace where he had rooms and food waiting for us. We were treated more like guests for a royal dinner than combatants”
The Collector shakes his head.
“What did he want from you, please don’t say-“ The Collector begs as he was cut off
“No, not that, he just wanted to talk and learn about us and one other topic.” Inkmatas sighed
“What other topic” The Collector worried
“He wanted to know everything about Tinted Earth.” She explains
“Why did he want to know that.. that means he was most likely behind the events that shut down Tinted Earth permanently” The Collector figures out
“He really did save hundreds of endangered species, I really don’t know if he’s that much of a villain that you made him out to be.” Inkmatas defended Xerxes, “He could’ve ended all of us easily but thinking back to the battle, he went out of his way to spare us”
“What about Mirai, she got vaporized in front of us?!” The Collector stressfully said
“She grabbed at the stone recklessly while Xerxes did not attack her, it was tragic but not his doing.” Inkmatas
“Why are you defending him, did he use that geode on you!?” The Collector angrily responds
“He did not go into my soul, he allowed me into his” Inkmatas retorts, “I saw his intentions with no bias or lies, I saw what he went through and what he’s trying to accomplish. He is trying to save everything, not just his own people but animal, insects, the environment, and the multiverse!”
The Collector, exasperated with Inkmatas’s gushing point of view, turns to Amber.
“Do you feel the same way?” The Collector explains
“I refused to tell him anything but he remained civil, never raised a weapon, and allowed me to leave at any time” Amber explains, “I never felt trapped but I felt inspired to learn more about him and I sensed no deviltry behind his words.”
“I can’t believe this.” The Collector sighs heavily
