In a voting game, you vote someone on a highlighted group. You continue this until the last person remains.
There are three main modes in a voting game, Save, Kill, and Mystery.
Vote to Kill is the most common mode, where you vote to ELIMINATE someone from the voting game. Most votes is eliminated.
Vote to Save is another mode, where you vote to KEEP someone to stay in the voting game. Least votes is eliminated.
Vote to Mystery is a mode where you don't know if the mode behind it is save or kill, so it's up to you and your gut to decide who to vote.
Sometimes, there are rejoins (more commonly referred to as revives), where you vote one or more people to rejoin the voting game and have another chance at winning.
A finale normally has 2 or 3 people, depending on the person hosting it. The winner is decided by either a public vote or a poll.
There's a lot more to voting games but that's the basic knowledge.
