If you can get on to the tumblr page then it might have smth to do with authenticating ur login? I doubt tumblr itself is down if u can get onto the website

I mean, it doesn't tell me to do anything other than put in my email and password
when I sign in, it just doesn't sign me in

it doesn't give me an error message or say "oh boo-hoo you're f**king dead" or whatever, it just brings me back to the login page

Have u tried logging into a different device. Or deleting your cookies/saved data from that page. If thats smth u can do
