If this is a place that receives regular shipments of large products, the door has a purpose. Doors like that make it easier to get said products to the top floor. These kinds of doors were far more common in the middle or late 1800s.
Yeah, sorry for the late response by the way, but this was part of construction for a water park entrance, so probably lots of big shipments, as far as I know, the entrance is completed and the door is gone. Thanks for clarifying though
