I first created Jason in the summer of 2019, since in the 5th and 6th grade, me and my friends would make comics together. Jason was made as a thought of making evil clones of our characters, and back then, he was little more than James with black hair (not even an eye patch... Yet), and he didn't even have a name, just referred to as Evil James, and was just a part of a clone army, his only distinguishing trait being a missing eye. I can't remember when Jason gained his eye patch, the 2nd image is the earliest existing one depicting him with an eye patch. In 2020, I gave him the name J.E.D (backwards acronym for Diabolicalally Evil James. Needless to say, the name didn't stick). Thankfully, I was in my edgy years then, and I was looking up 80s horror movies, when Jason Voorhees caught my eye. Realizing JED was also a psychopath killer, and Jason sounds similar to James, JED's name was changed to Jason. However, he still had a long way to go till how he appears now. At the time, he was a killer for hire, and I wanted him to have a team, so the idea of a terrorist group Jason was a part of was came up with, but in 2022, I gave up drawing for a while until early 2024. When I picked the pencil back up, Jason received an overhaul, gaining a redesign very similar to how he looks now, and was part of a group called the Ravens. I thought the name was too corny, so after a misdraw of the logo (the symbol of a charging raven head), I changed their name to the Thunderbolts, and that's basically where I got to bossfights.
