As sit at a bench in the local park, pondering as you do often, you spot him. He was reading his book at a bench across and away from you. His white curls fluffed over his face, and boy was he cute.

Umbreon: *sighs, taking a drag from their cig, they literally have a PhD and they cant get a job, but eh, might as well try and take a shot at some random guy in a park*

He combed through his book, swaying his legs happily. He occasionally looks around the park, smiling and waving at people he recognized.

U: *walks up, snubbing their ciggarrette* hey. whatchya reading?

"Shakespeare. Gotta stay sharp."

U: hm. good for the soul.

"Yup." He sets his book aside, looking at him. "How are you doing today?"

U: quite well. well, actually, shitty. i just lost my job.

"Damn... Do you have somewhere to stay while you go searching..?"

U: nope. mum decided to kick me out and my best friend has moved to england.

"Oh, dear... Well, if you need a place to stay..."

"Dont worry about it! I have a unoccupied room for you to stay in."

He smiles softly, "Ill drive you. Follow me!" He walked to his car, holding his hand.

He opened the passenger door for him, a nice Mercedes model.

U: nice ride.

"Thanks." He got into the drivers seat, starting the car and driving to his house. A 20 minute or so ride.

U: *the best car theyve been in is their beat up mustang* smooth.

"So, you have any cravings, foodwise? Ill cook anything."

U: i can cook for myself. i actually have a PhD in Chemistry and Physics. but i really could go for some ressees...

"I think I have a few in my pantry."

U: thanks.

"No problem." He smiles softly.

U: i should uh... i couldve drove here myself, all my stuffs in my beat up ford-

"Well, do we need to go back for it..?"

U: just my car, it was at the park. beat up purple mustang.

"Alright, gimme one sec." He U-turns to the park, pulling up next to the mustang.

U: thanks. *gets out, getting in the car*

He nods. "Follow me home?"

U: *thumbs up*

Charlie: "Whatcha reading?"

"Oh, just some Shakespeare. Gotta stay sharp."

Charlie: "Cool."

He nods and sets his book aside, smiling up at him. "How are you doing today?"

Charlie: *shrugs* "Same old, same old I guess."

"Same here. I think i got stood up..."

Charlie: "Dang."

"Yeah..." He looks off and bounces his leg. "What brings you to the park...?"

Charlie: "Just hanging around, I suppose." *waves his cigarette nonchalantly*

"...I like the smell of smoke. Do you?"

Charlie: "You could say that, I guess."

He nods, innocently smiling.

Charlie: "I'm Charlie, by the way." *holds out his hand for shaking*

He shakes it gently, smiling. "Rothcard."

Charlie: "Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

He nods again and chuckles. "Youre cool."

Charlie: "Thanks."

"...You, uh, wanna hang out at my place..?"

Charlie: "Oh! Uh, sure, I don't have anything better to do."

"Well, come on. Ill drive ya, its a bit far."

Charlie: "Thanks." *wondering if they noticed that he doesn't have a car*

He had no clue, holding his hand and bringing him to his car, a nice mercedes.

Charlie: *whistles* "Nice ride."

"Thanks!"

Charlie: *gets in* "Mhm."

He gets in the drivers seat, turning on the ignition and driving to his house. It was a 20 minute drive.

Charlie: *looking out the window*

He pulls into the driveway of a two story house, painted sleek white with a formal exterior.

Charlie: "Woah."

"Yeah, its pretty nice. Come on, lets get inside."

Charlie: "Alright."

He steps out and knocks on the door, waiting there with a innocent smile.

Charlie: *standing there, shifting anxiously*

The door opens, a tall woman in casualwear opening it. "There you are, Card. Come on in. The both of you."

Charlie: *follows into the house, looking around*

Its very quaint, the living room having a very large modular couch and huge blankets, a large flatscreen, and soundproofing panels all over the room.

Charlie: "Wow. Cozy."

The woman nods, smiling. "Really is. I didnt catch your name..."

Charlie: "Oh, uh, I'm Charlie."

"Nice to meet you, Charlie. Im Dakota."

Charlie: "It's nice to meet you too."

She nods, walking to the kitchen and starting some water.

Charlie: *fidgets*

Rothcard yawns, sitting down on the couch. "If you go upstairs, there's a room labeled Guest. Make yourself at home."

Charlie: "O-Oh. Thanks."

"No problem!" He smiles, cozying up under covers.

Charlie: "Why are you letting me stay here anyway? I mean, we kind of just met..."

"Well... Ive been kind of a scumbag for most of my life, and, well, im trying to fix that. Just simple acts of hospitatlity..."

Charlie: "...Oh."

"Yeah..."

Charlie: "Hey. Whatever it was, don't stress on it too much."

"Well, im still gonna try and better myself."
