The term "social construct" is bullshit and was originally used to try to say that "gender doesn't matter" even though there are innate biological differences between humans and if a woman tried to compete in a sport for men where physical strength matters a lot she would most likely lose. In the same way it's not a "social construct" for humans to prioritize resources that are beneficial to them over others. A rock and food are both technically made out of the same thing, quarks, but food is obviously more important. And if we tried to eat rocks we'd be dead
