Arguably, Undyne might be more involved in the next chapter(s). When Kris opened a Dark Fountain (which i thought was just a gas leak), Undyne was on her way to Toriel's house. i might be going off-piste here, because its been a while since i saw Deltarune being played, but anyways. its just a theory.
