Music theory is crucial too but it's complex and takes a while to learn. I think you should either watch music theory lessons first.



And NOt those  "learn music theory in 10 minutes" ones, they dont teach shit, only longer and detailed ones will do.

Music theory is what you learn to know how to compose music that sounds pleasing to ear. Learning how to play an instrument is another thing.
