A sinister feeling washes over you. The dust is blowing in from behind you, and you can see human footprints in the marshy soil. There are still no monsters here, either dead or fleeing. Seeing the dust, which now smells like horse and scales, has Sans mourning bitterly and threatening the human with a very bad time. He seems really passionate about this, and if your brother's life hung in the balance, you would be too. You begin to notice heavy footprints that seem human, but have something off about them. Sans crouches down and immediately recognizes the prints. "That's Papyrus. I'd know those steps anywhere." He breaks into a clumsy run that eventually steadies, and you can barely keep up with him. Despite the permanent smile on his face, now he actually seems happy. For the first time you actually realize how much Sans loves his brother. Blood is thicker than water, you think to yourself as you sprint after him. You know that's not what the saying means, but you don't have a better one. It seems like Waterfall is infinite, but finally you've reached a smaller place. One with a notebook-wielding human. It also has a tall skeleton attempting to attack said human with bones. The human is noticeably sluggish, though he attacks just like normal. How odd. But he's still writing one hell of a book in monster dust. Sans jumps in, and, to your surprise, summons huge amount of bones which injure, but not kill, the human. A hole is blown through his arm, bleeding so much... but you're not remorseful. The human runs off, clutching his arm. He hasn't dropped his notebook. Sans runs to the tall skeleton. That's when you notice that this is Papyrus. "Papyrus. Oh god, I thought you were dead. Papyrus." Skeletons can also somehow cry.
